Carù consigliaIl terzo album della brava cantautrice del Kentucky guarda alla tradizione mantenendo comunque un approccio contemporaneo, per nulla da purista, nè tantomeno polveroso e datato. Date le origini rurali dell'artista, il country è parte essenziale della sua musica ma è solo uno degli elementi costitutivi delle canzoni. Plainting By the Signs è un disco ispirato e di grande forza emotiva e la Goodman ha una bella voce cristallina e espressiva e una scrittura vivace e brillante.
All'età di quasi 70 anni, reduce da un'operazione al cuore e ripulito da droga e alcohol, Barnes mostra ancora la grinta di un quindicenne e nel nuovo disco strilla heartland rock con foga springsteeniana in 10 canzoni tirate muscolarmente a lucido e prodotte da Kevin Shirley. Copie limitate d'importazione.
Capitolo finale per la “trilogia psichiatrica” di Luke Haines (The Auteurs, The Servants, Black Box Recorder) e Peter Buck (R.E.M.). Registrato a Portland, Oregon, il disco ci accompagna attraverso tumultuose digressioni psichedeliche, con brani di grande vigore che si alternano a feroci cavalcate elettriche. Un disco solido, per gli amanti dei suoni onirici.
2CD. Registrazione da trasmissione radiofonica del concerto alla Arizona State University di Tempe in Arizona del 6 ottobre 1977 con Keith e Donna Godchaux in formazione.
Registrato originariamente durante il concerto di Waters alla O2 Arena della Repubblica Ceca il 25 maggio 2023, il doppio CD cattura l'apprezzatissimo spettacolo dal vivo di Waters, con brani iconici come “Us & Them”, “Comfortably Numb”, “Wish You Were Here” e “Is This The Life We Really Want?”. Inoltre, Waters esegue il suo nuovo e acclamato brano “The Bar”.
Il secondo album delle "ragazze terribili" è uno dei più brillanti album indie rock e pop nel quale possa capitare di imbattersi. Col primo album sono finite ai vertici delle classifiche e questo secondo album ha tutte le carte in regola per replicare il successo.

Artista di culto tra gli artisti di culto, dopo vent'anni di silenzio successivi al noto Dreaming with Alice, mirabile prodotto di folk intinto di acido, Mark Fry ha rimesso insieme una manciata di canzoni: Not on the Radar è un lavoro incantevole, fatto di pure ballate, interrotte da un paio di pezzi più sperimentali con una scrittura che potrebbe ricordare Roy Harper.
Disco registrato dal vivo nel maggio del 1977 nel corso di sei serate consecutive al Rainbow Theatre di Londra accompagnato solo dal percussionista Ray Cooper. La scaletta comprende diversi classici a cui si aggiunge l'inedito Goodbye. Edizione Limitata.

Il leggendario concerto nell'anfiteatro romano di Pompei dove David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger Waters e Richard Wright si esibirono dal vivo senza pubblico e registrarono 8 canzoni tra il 4 e il 7 ottobre del 1971 che sarebbero state riprese e pubblicate solo nel filmato uscito all'epoca nelle sale e successivamente in videocassetta e DVD. Oggi l'audio di quelle incisioni è stato remixato da Steven Wilson e pubblicato per la prima volta in via ufficiale con l'aggiunta di due inediti assoluti: Careful with that Axe, Eugene alternate mix e A Saucerful of secrets unedited.
A tre anni dal precedente, il nuovo album di Neil Young vede una formazione di nuova generazione intorno al cantautore canadese: il figlio di Willie Nelson Micah, il batterista Anthony Logerfo, il bassista Corey McCormick e il blasonato tastierista Spooner Oldham hanno preso il posto dei Crazy Horse e alla produzione provvedono Young e il veterano Lou Adler. Also see review below. "Pauvre Lova" is based on the traditional South African song 'Umqokozo', and was adapted by Serge Gainsbourg. (Note that some releases of Miriam Makeba's recording of 'Umqokozo' credit Makeba as the author, but the song is a Xhosa folk tune popularized by Makeba)

Wilber è al terzo lavoro. Cresciuto come sideman, sopratutto alla corte di John Prine, Jason si è fatto poi le ossa come autore. Ed in questo disco, pur interpretando anche canzoni di altri ( lo stesso Prine, Elvis Presley ), sa convincere con le sue.
Bel ritorno al rock, a venticinque anni esatti dal suo esordio. Joe ha di nuovo voglia di mettersi in discussione e lo fa con un album vitale, con una manciata di canzoni ben costruite, con un suono personale ricco di fascino. Di nuovo disponibile con il CD live in omaggio.
