Parte John Prine, parte Steve Erale, un pò Bruce Springsteen, il rocker canadese Leeroy Stagger ( Stagger Lee ), è sulla scena da anni. Questo è il suo decimo disco in dodici anni e mischia rock e radici in modo gagliardo. Prodotto dal partner Russell Broom, con Pat Seward ( Odds e Bryan Adams) e Mike Lent ( kd lang), questo album è un disco di tutto rispetto.
Canadese, singer-songwriter ma anche rocker, Leeroy Stagger è un personaggio da tenere in conto. Dopo l'acclamato Love Versus del 2017, Leeroy torna con Strange Path, il suo disco più ambizioso E, per inciderlo, ha scelto alcuni dei musicisti migliori in circolazione: il batterista Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello and the Attractions, Elliot Smith, Los Lobos), e musicisti di lungo corso come Tyson Maiko, Paul Rigby (Neko Case, Garth Hudson, Jakob Dylan), Ryland Moranz e Michael Ayotte. Il disco è stato mixato da Ryan Freeland (Ray Lamontagne, Bonnie Raitt, Rodney Crowell) e prodotto da Brad Barr dei Barr Brothers, assieme allo stesso Stagger
