L'ex leader dei Big Star aveva trovato una sorta di quadratura del cerchio mischiando in modo creativo blues oscuro, R&B, soul al classico songbook Americano. Questo concerto di Baton Rouge, 1985, lo conferma appieno, con Chilton che dai Big Star passa al blues a Dust My Broom, Honkin' Down The Highway, Nobody's Fool, The Look of Love ed altri brani, certamente sconosciuti al grande pubblico.
