Qualita audio eccellente per un concerto che Marvin Gaye ha dato pochi mesi prima di essere ucciso da suo padre, nel 1983. Bella serata con il cantante di colore che passa in rassegna il meglio del suo repertorio, dalla recente Sexual Healing, che lo aveva riportato al successo, a classici come What's Going On, Let's Get it On ed I Heard It Through The Grapevine.

Si tratta di registrazioni soul anni sessanta e, in questo caso, di quelle di Calvin Arnold, il cui brano Funky Way è stato anche un successo minore all'epoca ed è poi stato ripreso da Rufus Thomas ed altri soul singers. Il disco in questione riprende l'album dell'epoca con l'aggiunta di cinque inediti, tra cui il superbo southern funk groove Trying To Fly My Kite (In Rainy Weather).
A benefit record, all songs recorded new for this album. Net proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity to aid those affected by Hurricane Katrina.
