Come al solito Young, oltre ai brani del passato ( ce ne sono quattro tratti dal repertorio dei Buffalo Springfield), esegue anche brani non ancora incisi, eseguendo canzoni comprese poi nel mitico Harvest come Old Man, Heart Of Gold, A Man Needs A Maid, The Needle And The Damage Done e la title track. Il doppio CD contiene anche due canzoni che Young ha cantato nel Johnny Cash Show, il 17 Febbraio 1971: The Needle and the Damage Done e Journey Through The Past.
