4 CD. Quattro classici al prezzo di uno. Il periodo Prestige è quello del jazz più classico per il grande trombettista e questi quattro dischi ( Cookin', Relaxin', Steamin' e Workin' ) sono considerati la sua opera più matura, per quanto riguarda la prima parte della sua carriera. Rimasterizzati.

Performance inedita del grande sassofonista, registrata al Midem nel 1980. Getz si è esibito con Brian Bromberg (bass), Victor Jones (drums), Paul Horn (flute), Chuck Loeb (guitar) ed Andy Laverne (keys). Tra i brani eseguiti: Chappaqua, Autumn Leaves, Lady Day e Nature Boy.

Edito in origine nel 2001, The Beginning proponeva il famoso sound swamp blues di Tony Joe White senza ulteriori aggiunte, rispetto alle tracce originarie, dato che era la prima volta in cui il musicista della Louisiana aveva il totale controllo del processo di registrazione. A lungo fuori catalogo e ristampato nel 2020 dalla New West Records in una tiratura limitata in vinile colorato, a grande richiesta viene ora edito dalla stessa etichetta anche in CD, con un libretto contenente foto e testi. Undici piccoli classici riproposti con un running order differente.

Il sassofonista e compositore Charles Lloyd è sempre stato uno spirito libero, un master musician ed un visionario. A 84 anni compiuti, è ancora al meglio della sua forza esecutiva ed è più prolifico che mai. Come ricercatore di suoni Lloyd ha trovato il modo di manifestarsi al meglio con il Trio ed i suoi progetti, rappresentati da tre dischi con formazioni differenti Il terzo, Trios: Sacred Thread, vede coinvolti il chitarrista Julian Lage ed il percussionista Zakir Hussain
