La Royal Philharmonic Orchestra di Londra non è nuova a dischi incisi in collaborazione con star del passato. Registrazioni fatte usando le tracce originali dell'autore, su cui viene posata l'orchestra. Ma questa volta l'operazione risulta ancora più interessante, visto che la voce di Cash si adatta in modo particolare alla base orchestrale. E poi i due produttori, Nick Patrick e Don Reedman, che hanno lavorato coinvolgendo anche John Carter Cash, ed hanno scelto non solo alcune delle canzoni più belle ma anche delle tracce inedite, come le versioni di I Walk The Line e Flesh and Blood, che sono registrazioni inedite, fatte da Cash durante la registrazione della soundtrack di I Walk The LIne, film del 1970,
