2 CD. Negli ultimi anni Jeff Tweedy si sta dedicando più alla carriera da solista che a quella di band leader nei Wilco. Ha edito un disco dei Wilco, recentemente, Ode to Joy, ma poi il tour seguente, che avrebbe dovuto avvenire nel 2020, è stato annullato dal lockdown. Così Jeff è tornato nel suo studio personale, The Loft, ed ha registrato un nuovo disco. Love is The King è, senza mezzi termini, il migliore dei suoi dischi da solista. Ci sono persino delle canzoni ( Opaline, ad esempio), che hanno delle sonorità country, molto vicine ai primi Wilco. Un disco intenso, curato e vissuto, che merita di essere ascoltato e centellinato perchè, alla fine, risulta più che soddisfacente. A Love is The King, Tweedy ha aggiunto un CD registrato dal vivo che contiene tutti i brani che appaiono nel disco in studio. più la cover di The Old Country Waltz di Neil Young.
